Lyn Cadence has worked in the book publishing industry for over twenty years – as a publicist at Raincoast Books, publicity and marketing director at Key Porter Books, and promotions director at Fifth House Publishers. In 2008, she started Your Book is Your Business PR, Inc and Cadence PR. She studied publishing at Simon Fraser University, sits on the Chamber of Commerce Business and the Arts Committee and is an active member of Calgary’s social media community.

Shirley Bays lives in Cochrane, Alberta, and has over 20 years’ experience in the writing and editing field. She started out writing software user documentation in Calgary and has edited documents for the Mackenzie Gas Pipeline Project, policy and procedures manuals, psychological assessments, and a series of IT-related Quick Reference guides, among other things. She has a degree in French and a diploma in Production of Learning Resources from Bristol, England. She is a member of the Calgary Association of Freelance Editors.
Ron Murch lives in Calgary, Alberta and has over 45 year’s experience in the computing and information systems fields. He has direct experience in systems analysis and design, project management, managing technical and professional staff, and consulting. In addition, he spent over 30 years as a faculty member with the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary with direct responsibilities for both instruction and program administration in the undergraduate, graduate and executive programs of the school. He has been a Visiting Faculty Member in the UK, New Zealand and Hong Kong and, after retiring from the University in 2008, he continues to be active with the Alberta/Haskayne Executive MBA Program and various Calgary-based technology associations.
Ron holds degrees from the University of Waterloo and the University of Calgary and several professional certifications.
Manoj Khanna is the founder of rapidBOOKS. He has a technology management background consulting for large corporations across North America and Asia. He is a business management graduate, has completed graduate courses at UC Berkeley and is a graduate alumni of Carnegie Mellon. Manoj founded rapidBOOKS in the fall of 2008 on the premise to publish books, how to guides, and other tech publications that are easy to read, simple, straight-forward, written by tech practitioners and subject matter experts who have been around and share their practical hands-on experiences within their field.
