To manage the production of rapidBOOKS Series from receipt of manuscripts to final print to an agreed standard of quality, cost, budgeted extent and to agreed schedules; to maintain management and administrative systems; to liaise with editors, editorial assistants, authors, suppliers and internal staff; to contribute to Company and Production related projects as required. Key role and responsibilities for this job includes end-to-end project management, relationship management, administration, and training & development of internal publishing processes.
To manage the publication of rapidBOOKS, from contract, through good author support, to delivery of the final published product. Project editor will share the responsibility with the Production Editor and Marketing Manager for delivering the team’s financial and publishing targets with manuscripts, transmittals and publications. Scheduling of projects (from contract) to help achieve revenue forecasts. Work with colleagues to encourage delivery of content for processing, and ensure timely publication by using available resources to achieve publishing targets. Other responsibilities includes full engagement in management of delivery of manuscript and subsequent publication; manage the delivery of content from author to required formats within constraints of cost, quality and schedule; provide the author with information and support, as required, at all stages of commissioning, contracting, generation and processing of content; and maintain regular contact with author to encourage and support in the preparation of their content.
Creative and confident, you will research markets, aproach potential authors, and prepare the commissioning of 25 titles per year, solicit, evaluate, and respond to book proposals and manuscripts, and guide authors on manuscript preparation and carrying out meaningful revisions. You will also present books to the Editorial Board, negotiate contracts, and identify and solicit funding for titles requiring subsidies. Your talent for technology subject and knowledge of its genres and processes are complemented by a graduate degree in communications, one to two years’ related work experience, and computer proficiency. You also have structural and copy editing experience and knowledge of various and upcoming technology disciplines in a commercial environment.
The marketing Intern will help us define and build the reseller and affiliate program, setup and manage the alliance program (including the alliance relationships and affiliate program), and help with PR, ads, copywriting, the company database, customer follow-up and events. Candidate should be capable of initiating and maintaining strong personal relationships. In addition, he/she should be able to coordinate with all internal staff involved to ensure the completion of the associated marketing programs. A high degree of organization and self-motivation is required. This person must quickly learn the product and the market. He/She must also stay aware of the upcoming company opportunities to ensure participation with the reseller partners whenever it makes sense. Prefer a responsible Junior-Senior in college working on a business degree (marketing preferred since this will be applicable experience) with technical aptitude.

Social Media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn besides other will be essential to the successful candidate. Must be an effective networker. Experience using social media to promote a service or business. Effective communicator and willing to attend regular networking events to represent rapidBOOKS. A high degree of organization and self-motivation is required. This position is not supervised.
